Navigating the Toddler Table: Benchmarking Solid Meals
1 min read

As babies cross the threshold into toddlerhood, their primary source of nutrition completely flips from milk to solid foods.
By the time a toddler reaches two years of age, their digestive tract is fully mature, and they should ideally be integrated into standard family meal schedules — consisting of three balanced meals and one to two healthy snacks per day. At this developmental stage, solid foods should provide the vast majority of their daily caloric, vitamin, and mineral intake, while milk transitions to a secondary beverage rather than a primary meal. If your logged totals match these toddler benchmarks, your child is making an excellent transition into long-term dietary habits. If you notice their solid intake is low and they are filling up on milk instead, use this data to gently adjust their meal structures.
